Why should you work with me?
Remember when you were a kid and you stuffed food in your mouth at the dinner table? It was either so good that you couldn’t wait to eat it up or it was so bad that you just wanted to get it over with!
Either way, I bet someone told you not to stuff your mouth and to take small bites instead. And when you asked why, you were probably told one of these three things…
So you can enjoy your food
So your food would digest better
So you wouldn’t choke
The same thing applies to your health and fitness goals.
Example - New Years Resolution
It’s that one time every year when most people bite off WAY more than they can chew. They get tired and discouraged. Most people quit by March!
They are doing a program that they hate.
They are trying to do too much too fast.
They choke from the pressure of it all.
That’s why I encourage a different approach to wellness. It’s based on a process improvement method called Kaizen. It’s about taking small turtle like steps, instead of taking big rabbit sized leaps. And we all know who won that tortoise vs the hare race right?
If you’ve been going after the same goals year after year and just can’t seem to get there or stay there, you may be thinking that it’s just not possible for you. But maybe the problem isn’t that something is wrong with YOU. Perhaps the real problem is your APPROACH.
A small steps approach
I believe that if you’re willing to take a chance on yourself and let go of the traditional paths (the 10 year plan) to try something different and new (small and steady), you can find success too. One small step at a time.
You don’t have to do it alone, or figure it all out by yourself. I’ve studied and practiced Kaizen for about 10 years now. It’s helped me to lose weight, meditate regularly, drink coffee without sugar, drink more water, lower my sodium intake, and get my blood pressure under control...just to name a few.
I’ve also studied and practiced process improvement while working in the business world for nearly 20 years. And I’ve found that many of those business principles can be applied to your personal life as well.
Small changes, small actions, and small commitments can take you a very long way. Often in a surprisingly small period of time! You just have to have the courage to think small.
Let me show you the way!
